The Sony BDPS380 continues Sony's dominance of the budget Blu-ray market.

With the preceding BDPS370 having swept the opposition away, there was very little Sony could do to improve upon it. The differences may be slight, but they have managed not just to retain the 370's excellence but also tweak the performance still further.

As before, key to the to the BDPS380 is the option of connecting to the Internet wirelessly or via the traditional Ethernet cable. Simply add a wireless dongle and your BDPS380 can integrate with your home network to give you full access to the BBC iPlayer and BRAVIA Internet Video for access to online video content such as YouTube. With the BDPS380 there's more internet content than ever before. Also, with internet video varying so much in quality, the new Internet Video Enhancer is a really useful feature. As the name suggests, this improves the video quality of online content - the bigger your TV, the greater the improvement you'll notice.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or an Android powered smart phone then you can get even greater functionality out of the BDPS380. Use the screen as a remote control keypad or select information from the touch screen, such as YouTube videos, and stream them to your player. You can also find out more about your Blu-ray discs by searching the Entertainment Database Browser using Gracenote technology.

For all the amazing range of media playback options, don't forget that the BDP-S380 is Blu-ray player - and a great one at that! Playback quality of all formats is every bit as good as you'd expect from a Sony with Sony's Precision Drive technology lending a hand to correct scratched or warped discs. As ever, the full 1080p output and HDMI interface give stunning levels of clarity and digital HD surround sound for an unparalleled cinema experience.

Thanks to Sony's Xross Media Bar, using the BDP-S380 is easy. Already super-fast, the new model is now quicker than ever at loading and playback. BRAVIA Sync means that if you already have a Sony TV you can link to that for remote control integration.

Sony 300-Series Blu-ray players have always been front runners in the budget market and the BDPS-380 simply cements that reputation.
