The Mordaunt Short Aviano follows on from the enormously successful Avant range and features a raft of technical enhancements from the Mordaunt Short Performance speakers.
The Mordaunt Short Aviano 5 is a home cinema centre speaker that has been perfectly tuned to match the sonic characteristics of the rest of the Aviano range. Featuring the latest generation CPC (Continuous Profile Cone) aluminium woofer, the Aviano 5 has that characteristic detail and crispness throughout the mid-range and bass. Helping the sonic precision and dynamic response even further is a new woofer brace. This internal cabinet bracing not only strengthens the cabinet but also supports the woofer, allowing it to perform to its very best ability. Mordaunt Short has paid particular attention to driver matching for a more cohesive sound. For this reason, the aluminium tweeter features a revised mounting plate for a more seamless integration with the mid-range. The cabinet itself is incredibly rigid for this class of speaker, internally braced and made from high density MDF. It gives the drive units the best support possible and manages not to contribute its own "voice" to the sound quality in a detrimental way. As you'd expect, a high quality, bi-wirable crossover features that enables you to improve the sound still further.
In terms of sound quality, the Aviano 5 has been designed to perfectly match the timbre of partnering Aviano speakers. It gives a seamless sound that makes it tricky to detect which speaker the sound is coming from. This Mordaunt Short centre speaker has also been voiced to project vocals in a clear, audible manner, making it easy to follow even the most complex of films.
If you like your cinema to be precise and involving, the Aviano 5 makes the perfect heart of a full Aviano home cinema package.
