The Panasonic DMREX773 follows on from a long line of award-winning Panasonic DVD recorders.

With Adaptive HD Enhancer, the DMREX773 upscales SD sources to Full, 1080p HD more skilfully than ever. Upscaling to HD enhances the picture quality greatly and improves upon the original picture by around six times: the bigger your HD TV is the greater the improvement you'll notice.

The DMREX773 also uses the Control 4 version of VIERA Link. Connect this Panasonic DVD recorder to your VIERA TV and it will automatically download the TV channel setting information. Revised power supply technology allows the DMREX773 to use less energy when on stand-by than before - now down to just 0.3 W in Power Save Mode.

As with previous Panasonic DVDRs, at the heart of this wonderfully flexible recorder is a Super Multi Format system that can utilise pretty much any blank disc you'd care to throw at it. DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW and even DVD-RAM discs can all be used for recording. Yet, the hassle free recording doesn't end there. Thanks to a built-in 160GB hard drive, the DMREX773 is capable of recording up to 279 hours of programs without the need for a single blank disc!

The Panasonic DMREX773's abilities don't stop with just video, either. Data from CDs and the USB socket can also be transferred to the Panasonic's hard drive. This lets you use the recorder as a juke box or as a photo storage device. What's more, you can watch your favourite HD photos from various formats, whilst choosing a particular sound track to listen to.
