Bring 3D Blu-ray viewing and PVR recording together with the Panasonic DMRPWT500.
The Panasonic DMRPWT500 is absolutely packed with features, most impressive of which has to be the 3D up-convertor. Simply connect to your 3D TV via HDMI and you can view not just 3D Blu-rays but also up-converted 2D Blu-rays, DVDs, TV and even photos! A 3D depth controller also lets you adjust the extent of the conversion so that you can get a good balance between depth and realism.
Aside from the 3D conversion, the Panasonic DMR-PWT500 comes equipped with twin Freeview HD tuners - making it ideal as a replacement for not just your Blu-ray and DVD players, but also your set-top box/PVR, too. In addition to free HD channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, the DMRPWT500 will still receive the usual standard Freeview TV and radio services, meaning you don't miss out on your existing channels: High Definition TV through your standard aerial for free! Twin tuners give you the flexibility to watch a different channel to the one you're recording or record two channels at the same time! You can also pause and rewind live TV. When it comes to recording, the 320GB disk drive is ideal. Choose between around 100 hours of HD recording or up to several hundred hours at Standard Definition - or any combination.
Based on the multi-award winning DMPBDT210, the built-in Blu-ray player is a top spec device. In addition to Full HD 3D compatibility, the Blu-ray player comes with a host of Panasonic technical enhancements. Featuring PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus, the DMR-PWT500 precisely processes each pixel of the Blu-ray disc to give stunning picture clarity. Another exciting picture enhancement is Panasonic's 4:4:4 picture processing. When used with a compatible VIERA TV, this feature processes each pixel in both horizontal and vertical directions for greater image realism and stability. In short, whatever the film, you'll find the Blu-ray player delivers a class-leading picture performance - whether 2D or 3D.
A very handy addition is the built-in SD card reader. Use the SD card from your camera or phone to archive photos and video onto the hard disc or Blu-ray. From here you can, of course, also have them up-converted to 3D!
Keeping this recorder bang up-to-the minute, the DMR-PWT500 also comes with Panasonic's Viera Cast and DLNA streaming. Connect up to your home network hub via Ethernet or the built-in wi-fi and you can enjoy access to a wide variety of apps, including YouTube and Panasonic's unique Skype recorder. DLNA streaming also allows you to stream material from your PC, laptop, NAS drive or other DLNA connected device.
For a one-box solution to video playback and recording, the Panasonic DMR-PWT500 is a top performer.
